Die 2025-afsluiting van Riebeek Kasteel se maandelikse Poetry Jam het op ’n hoë noot afgesluit by Lemberg Estate in Tulbagh.
Ons het die Poetry Jam in 2020 begin, en vir vyf jaar lank al ontmoet ons mekaar elke laaste Sondag van die maand om 11:00. Dis ’n vaste ritme nou. ’n Klein tradisie wat gegroei het tot iets groter as onsself.
Hierdie jaar het ons besonderse hoogtes bereik, met ongelooflike gasdigters wat hul stemme en stories met ons gedeel het. Om net ’n paar te noem:
Daniel Hugo, Rocco De Villiers, Danie Marais, Kobus Moolman en Richard van der Westhuizen.
In 2026 vat ons dit nóg verder. Die Poetry Jam skuif na nuwe ruimtes —
Kloovenburg, Kringe in die Bos en Vyestoor —
maar die tyd bly dieselfde, die hart bly dieselfde, en die woorde bly welkom.
Elke laaste Sondag van die maand.

About Me

Dr. F.W. Kock is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon with a passion for excellent, thourough patient care and for furthering contributions to the field of Orthopaedic Surgery. Born and raised in Richmond, Northern Cape, he found his way to the Free State, matriculating from Grey College in Bloemfontein and thereafter completing his pre-graduate studies at the University of the Free State.

Dr Kock ventured into a path of surgical sciences, going on on to excel during his tenure of training at Stellenbosch University. He received both his degrees with the distinction of Cum Laude, with his exemplary research work recognized with the prestigious G.T. du Toit prize in 2023. FW has a special interest in upper limb and joint arthroplasty surgery, and is dedicated to providing cutting-edge care to his patients. He is excited at the opportunity to bring his skills and passion for community to this new venture
